How to gather up courage to ride a rollercoaster!

OK so last summer which was about four moths ago, I gathered up courage. I live near Darien Lake Theme Park Resort so I usually go there. I had planned to ride all the rollercoasters there. However, there was this one big, bad rollercoaster. Ot was called "The Superman." I was terrified! It was the tallest rollercoaster at the park. My sister was forcing me to go on it. I felt like I was going to die! She was saying stuff like if you don't go on this, then you will never come back. I did want to come back so I said yes to her intimidationg "command." I knew that right at the last minute, I would freak out. I would start crying or something like that. It always happened. But, this time I told myslef something. This is what I said : Pretend that somone with a knife is chasing you, the only way fast enough around the park is to ride this rollercoaster. The alternative was to die a slow, painful death. With that thought in my mind, the ride had started. Phew! It was too late now. We were going up, up, and away. Then finally we went down. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! That was terrifying. My heart sank into my stomach. Finally, the ride was over. I was impressed! I had faced one of my fears. Well, that seemed easy! :) Right??

My First Roller Coaster

Ok, so now it is time to tell you about my first roller coaster! Well, it all started at Darien Lake Theme Park Resort. I was 8 years old at the time. Darien Lake has been the first amusement park I have ever went to. So, while we were driving to Darien Lake I was bragging about how I was going to ride every single roller coaster there. My sister was like, "We will see about that." So when we arrived at Darien Lake I told my sister that I wanted to go to the wooden coaster first. She said fine, but I hate that coaster. When we were in line for the ride, it was finally our turn to get on the ride. Me and my sister when to the middle section. The ride started after I buckled my seatbelt. Off we went. As the car went up to the first hill, I was excited. When we went down the first drop, I was terrified! I was screaming so loud that the rest of the people heard me screaming. I was the only one screaming on the ride! I was saying all these stuff like I should have never came to Darien Lake. I should have stayed home with my mother. Finally the ride ended, and I was relieved! Phew! That was a close one. It turns out I only rode 3 rides at Darien Lake instead of all of the 6 rides there! That was my first roller coaster experience!

Roller Coasters in General

Wow! Did you read how fast those roller coasters were? That is just simply terrifying. To me, roller coasters in general, are fun, thrilling, and full of excitement! But, the kind of roller coasters I am afraid of are tall roller coasters. Man, are they scary! The scariest part are the drops! UGH! My heart just drops into my stomach! I don't even know if I can deal with Kingda Ka. I was planning on going on that, but now I am starting to change my mind! I won't even be able to ride the Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point! If the height isn't enough, the ride itself goes fast! I mean SUPER, SUPER fast!I would probably freak out and then start crying! I don't know if I can handle all the fastness and the tallness. If I got stuck on any of those rides, I would start crying non-stop! Then when the roller coaster starts moving, I would freak out even more! Even though tall roller coasters scare me, I love to ride them! I guess I don't really care if I freak out! In general, roller coasters are AWESOME!! I Love roller coasters!
